Prestor Falomyr The Menagerie

Also known as the "Invasion of Myrwood," this was a battle fought between the Kingdom of Lordaeron and the Scourge remnants of the Eastern Plaguelands.

Causes[]

Although greatly weakened following the fall of the Lich King, the Scourge remained a sizable force within Lordaeron.  Fracturing into several smaller groups of influence, one of the roving bands was united by lich-lord named Archaemian.  Allied with the Under-Kings of Azjol Nerub, his forces pressed inward and began to invade the unprotected Myrwood in an attempt to establish a foothold within what is now known as the Kingdom of Lordaeron.

Having previously mustered for a war with Highpass, Queen Madelynne I was alerted of the invasion by William Glendover, Duke of White Haven and immediately called for a defensive force to respond.  She sent first the army of Heinrich Lichter, Lord of Dawnholde with support from the Dawnguard led by Kauthryn Roland, Lady of Dawnglory.  With their forces landing as the vanguard, a greater army was summoned and placed under command of Danyl Graves, Duke of the Grave and the Falconheart.

Events[]

Battle of Shattered Stone[]

Considered two separate battles, the Battle of Shattered Stone was the opening engagement of the Scourge Invasion.  It was a costly victory for the Royal Army, leaving Lichter's host devestated and the Royal Army in shambles.  The revolutionary tactics of mounting cannons upon crypt lords provided the Scourge with the ability to both ambush their enemies and retreat swiftly when their position was targeted.

Outcome

Unknown.
