Early Life[]
Nonia Pendleton was the first-born child of Eugine Pendleton and Rosemary Marshal. While many women of her age were quick to learn song, dance or some other art fit for a woman, Nonia's youthful interests were in soldiers, pistols and sabers. Eugine was not keen on allowing his first child to risk her life on the battlefield and enrolled her with a well-known fencing tutor, as well as the House Pendleton armsmasters. While those of her age attended cotillion and socialized, Nonia practiced her balestras and parries.
By chance one afternoon she came upon her cousin, Madelynne Albrecht practicing with a blade. Appalled by the form of her kin, she personally instructed the girl in the basics of swordplay, suiting her methods of teaching for the young Albrecht's keen mind for dance. The two grew closer during this time, but held such vastly different personalities that a true friendship never was established. Nevertheless, fueled by her father's approval, Nonia managed to exceed as a fencer in greater Lordaeron even while keeping her cousin's skills in check. She often traveled to participate in fencing competitions and, as a result, became quite cultured despite her disdain for the practiced manner of presentation so many of her peers wore. The end of each teenage year was usually met with a third place finish to a pair of quel'dorei twins, as the older elves naturally had more time to perfect their strikes. Still, such loses were only motivating for the young girl and even as she rose past the age to compete as a fencer, she held onto the art as a hobby (and more importantly, a means of combat).
Death[]
During the Second Grand Crusade, following her failure at the Trial of the Falconheart, Nonia was slain by an abomination. Her top half of her corpse was recovered by the forsaken and attached to a skeletal mare and reanimated. She currently serves as one of Sylvanas' champions and works closely with a val'kyr named Sjal Duskspire.
