Moral

Melendy Hunter is a young knight, a member of the Order of the Silver Hand, and one of the Queen’s Champions currently in service to Count Paul Beauregard.

Appearance[]

Melendy’s armor is impressive, shining plate that’s custom-made--a gift from the Queen for Melendy’s service in the River's Eye Campaign. Melendy herself, however, looks barely into adulthood, with a round face and overeager expression. Her eyes--pale blue, often wide in surprise or awe--are her most noticeable feature.

Melendy’s naturally fair skin is often reddened from being outside. She smiles--and blushes--quickly and often. Though short, she appears sturdy. When armed, she uses a two-handed sword, named Storm's Herald, that’s imbued with the Holy Light.

Personality[]

Naive and idealistic, Melendy approaches the world with the simple belief that there’s a clear distinction between right and wrong and that the Light will bless the worthy. She’s friendly, and often chatters to those around her--especially asking too many questions.

History[]

Melendy was born in Lordaeron to farmers who fled south when the Scourge decimated the country. One of seven children, Melendy grew up working on the farm, hearing stories about her father’s brother (Sir Timothy Hunter, a knight of the Silver Hand who fell to the Scourge), and dreaming of the day when she could follow in her uncle’s footsteps. As soon as she could, she went to Stormwind to begin her training, and then traveled to Blackmarsh to join the Silver Hand.

In Blackmarsh, she met the Highlord at the time, Theodore Varill, who quickly became her idol. She was assigned to be Count Beauregard’s squire and accompanied him, the Royal Army, and the Silver Hand on various campaigns. She dreams of the day when her family can return to Lordaeron and rebuild.

Knighthood[]

After nearly a year of being Count Beauregard’s squire, Melendy was knighted. It was one of Theodore Varill’s last acts as Highlord. Though no longer Count Beauregard’s squire, Melendy still feels a strong sense of obligation to him, and has remained at his side to assist him in both The Sliver and Myrwood.
